Alright so, let's get this out of the way first... Am I a pianist? No. Am I a professional, No... What I am is someone who does love music and have been dabbling in elements of it since '08.Seeing that the reviewer before me didn't give a lot of nuance to their review, I felt inclined to add my thoughts on whether or not you should buy this set of keys.I have owned the ew425 for almost a year now. Prior to this keyboard I have owned the PX5s from Casio, the Arturia KeyLab 88 MkII, Novation Launchkey 88 MK3, Akai Professional MPK88, Nektar Impact LX88+, Alesis Recital Pro 88, and a few others.Needless to say I have dabbled with many brands both hammer action, with built in libraries, semi weighted, midi controllers, etc..The EW-425 is an absolutely fantastic key set for the price. The sound library is actually impressive for the price and the output of the speakers is nothing to scoff at either in this price range. The grand for sample 02 for the pianos is just pure pleasure to play.Navigation is easy enough and requires very little tweaking and tuning to get to sound right and that is what is most important. You can turn this keyboard on and instantly enjoy the process of playing unlike something like the PX5s that I owned which required a lot of tuning to get to sound nearly as good as this. Don't get me wrong, the PX5s was an amazing keyboard with VAST capabilities but sometimes I just wanna turn on the keyboard and enjoy, the EW-425 doesn't disappoint in this regard. My biggest read more complaint with this keyboard is that I am a sloppy player and the keys are very sensitive. Even a slight bump will trigger them to sound off making slight issues with my playing very annoying as I will accidentally clip a key.Is this a con of the keyboard? No, it's me, simple as that. I do prefer hammer action keys but still, the sound of this keyboard is phenomenal.Even though it isn't very good, here is a completely random improve I did for my kids. I bought them a EZ 300 from Yamaha to help them learn a bit of piano and played this random bit for them. Even if you find my playing bad, try and listen to the dynamics of this piano. I personally think it sounds very good even though there are several issues with my playing.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEzwBgsz6rwThank you all and I hope you were able to find this short review helpful.Take care all!
