The Washburn Scavenger '78 brings an iconic '70s-era bass to a modern generation of players. The original Scavenger bass offered a distinct alternative to the typical basses of the day, and is prized among collectors today. The Scavenger '78 delivers the tone, feel and vibe of the vintage original.

I was looking to add a Precision or Stingray back in my lineup, to compliment my Double Humbucker basses. when this Washburn Scavenger caught my eye. Love the unconventional 70s retro look. The Growl from this Split Coil -Mahogany Monster is formidable. But lighter than you would imagine for long gigs. Love the Transparent Red, almost a Wine Color. I feel like I got the best of both worlds- Precision thump, with the eye catching double cutaway design. Thank you zZounds!
