I love this device! If it weren't for the quality control issues, this device would have been a surefire winner for device of the year for 2023. It might still be even with those issues. TE is fixing the problems with the fader and speakers for the units going out, so the unit should hopefully arrive in people's hands without issues. When you get a working one, it's an amazing device. I love the tactile, mechanical keyboard feel of the keys, and the workflow is very easy and fun to get into. It only has 64MB of sample space, but when you sample into it or add a sound file to the browser based sample tool, it does convert the audio file to make it a lot smaller than it may normally be if it were another device. I would suggest sampling mostly in mono to cut down on file size even more. I wish they'd given it more space, because flash ROM is so cheap these days, it wouldn't have killed them to at least have given us 16GB or 32GB. The makers were quoted as saying they made it so small to push people to finish songs, which sounds silly to me. Either I am or I am not going to finish my tracks, the storage size is not going to effect that fact. Anyway, the FX on the unit are very cool and can definitely add to a song you're making. You have about 9 projects you can work with and its really easy to get in and out of parts of the device. As I said before, it's A LOT of fun to use. I haven't had this much fun with a device since I first got my MPC One, and I've gotten a SP 404 mk2 between read more that time and some DJ mixers/controllers. I would recommend this to anyone that likes to make music, and is looking for a low cost entry into a standalone sequencer sampler. You can get a lot done with this unit, and you'll have fun doing it!
