I have spent several thousand dollars on bass guitars. I've bought 3 American preformer serious and sent them all back. 2 of the 3 had dead spots on the fret board. The 3rd which was a jazz bass was like a grandpa bass. I couldn't get the action down without killing all the tone. Right now I have 3 basses. A schecter j4 it's a 900 dollar bass. A fender players serious p bass it's a 700 dollar bass. This bass is 228 and it plays and sounds just as good as those do. Save yourself time and money and try this bass. Maybe I just got a good one but I absolutely love it.
