This SE Electronics bundle includes the RF SPACE (Specialized Portable Acoustic Control Environment), sE4400a multi-pattern condenser microphone, a matching shock mount, and sE's Pro Metal Pop Filter.
The RF SPACE is sE's highest-end Reflexion Filter, and a step forward for the professional tracking engineer. With a larger surface area than the original Reflexion Filter PRO, enhancement of sE's patented multi-layer technology, deeper air gaps, and more efficient materials, SPACE offers even better full-bandwidth absorption, isolation, and diffusion than its industry-standard predecessor.
The included sE4400a multi-pattern condenser microphone features a custom hand-crafted "back to back"-style pair of capsules with two 1" gold-sputtered diaphragms. With four polar patterns, vintage-style brass capsule construction, two bass cut switches & two pads -- plus the most adaptable shockmount around -- the 4400a is pure modern classic.
Much like a few particular well-known classic European condensers, the 4400a is a true "all-rounder." You can put it up on just about anything and it'll sound great. Unfortunately for many studio owners, those "classic condensers" are often not what they used to be. Capsule designs change over time, capacitors dry out, metal switches are replaced with plastic buttons and LEDs, and the mics that were once so versatile are now mere shadows of their former selves.
