While waiting for this model, I purchased a FR-7 Hellraiser from zZounds. This E-7 Apocalypse is the perfect combination to it. The differences between the tremolo, fixed bridge and pickups between these two axes give me all I ever need, yet the neck radius’ lengths, extra jumbo stainless frets and setup/action are so similar! And the Black Cherry Hellraiser is a perfect match with the Red Reign Apocalypse. Best of both worlds.

Sound
The sound quality is great! I was pleasantly surprised at the bright highs these pups put out, and the mid and low end bark fits this axe beautifully! The action is fast and set low, which works great with the xtra jumbo stainless frets, neck radius and shape. Advice… If you’re a heavy fretter, you’ll pull your note sharp. Jumbo frets need a light touch or directly on the fret.

Features
This E7 is very comfortable to play, sculpted to fit where needed, and the swamp ash body is awesome. The electronics, bridge, and tuners are all high quality.

Ease of Use
This Apocalypse is played through a Boss Katana MKII. The majority of my amp settings are rock/metal.

Quality
This is a well built affordable guitar.

Value
I think overall, Schecter guitars are a very good buy.

The Wow Factor
When I decided to invest in a seven string, I saw the E-7 Apocalypse and really liked the looks. They’ve been back ordered for awhile so I purchased a Hellraiser FR-7 from zZounds. I checked the Website and there was an Apocalypse in stock, so I called zZounds, and within three days my E-7 was here!
