first of all, the neck is superb, the frets are awesome, and the pickups are ok. my biggest gripe isn't even about the guitar at all, its the shipping dept at the NJ facility. my guitar was packed so poorly, it was 1/2 way out of the inner box when I opened the outer box. it was damaged most likely due to the poor packing job. that aside, this guitar does not meet the quality of the price on the tag. the flame maple top looks fake, the inlays have large gaps in between the inlays and the fingerboard wood. the tone knob was loose and the action was not set up to play like the sticker on the back claimed. so after spending an hour setting the action, intonation and retuning, I played it for about an hour. the pickups are bright and chimey on the cleans especially with the coils split. but it was a little buzzy with high gain, and muddy in the humbucker position. i'm not sold on the Lundgren pickups, but i'm really not a passive guy either. the price tag is way over the value without a case, when an Ibanez at this price will surely include a case.
