With 8 remote-controllable XMAX preamps, 8 XLR line outs, and 2 AVB ports, the PreSonus NSB 8.8 is the perfect stagebox for your StudioLive Series III mixer.

Designed to work seamlessly with PreSonus StudioLive Series III mixers, the PreSonus NSB 8.8 stage box offers 8 locking combo mic/line inputs with remote-controlled XMAX preamps that include gain compensation for shared input scenarios. All inputs can be controlled from a StudioLive Series III console and from free PreSonus UC Surface software. All eight outputs employ locking XLR jacks. A built in 2-port AVB switch lets you daisy-chain multiple units. A rugged steel chassis with sturdy handles and a stage box form factor allow the NSB 8.8 to sit well on the stage and survive the rigors of the road. The unit can be rack mounted with an optional rack-ear kit.

Between the updates to both the board and the NSB, cabling having to be perfect and it's inability to be road worthy, when it works, it's fine. That being said, I've owned this one for a year now and have used it maybe 20 days total. I have a Studiolive 32 SC that I almost use daily and it works fine, but the SC only has 16 inputs in the back. The NSB was supposed to give me an additional 8 inputs and 8 outputs. It's in my studio, and I seem to have less than a 30% chance that it will work that day. If I shut the system down and turn it back on, I have a 0% chance. I have run and owned Behringer, Midas, Soundcraft, Yamaha and many more over the years. I have consulted with 200 Ministries on installs for over 12 years now. Right now as it stands, I would not promote this product at all. The service department tries, but I have over 4 correspondence with the factory and at least 3 with the rep about it, and still no answers. Buy something that works, anything else but this.
