I've been a serious player all my life, but I've never had a large budget by any strech of the imagination, and it has always limited the tools I can use to create. Starting young and learning on very cheap but solid beginner guitars taught me I never needed any expensive guitar to be able to do my thing. However as Im getting older and starting my career, my budget is definitely opening up a little more and my playing truly is one of the few things I was born to do as it makes me feel good like nothing else. I've always liked the design of the PRS's and when I played one at a local shop, it was a total game changer for me, I'd never felt anything so easy to play or heard anything that sounded so clean, warm, smooth and crisp. I looked at the price tag on that one, WAY over my budget. Put it back and sighed. That was years ago and it kind of hung it my mind ever since that I wanted a PRS. Well, the time finally came when I knew I needed a new guitar. The sub $400 dollar guitars I had gotten used to were just not cutting it. So I went online and scrolled through the PRS catalog, and to my surprise, they even came in a 7 string model, and my wallet took it without any vaseline right then and there. So as its shipping to me, Im a little apprehensive because that guitar I demo'd in the store was AMAZING and it had time to really steep in my mind and inflate itself into being literally Jesus guitar in retrospect. I was worried it wouldnt be as good as the one I played, it wasn't even… read more nearly as expensive. but... when I finally got it, my very own PRS in my hands, it was every bit as good if not better. The finish of the guitar was excellent, it is light and feels amazing to hold. The neck and frets are every bit as easy to play as I remember, and the sound... omg. I bought the Boss Katana Artist along with this thing and it just blows me away. I think it will finally get me to finish my material and release it because Im actually confident in my sound now. It's definitely the best playing, sounding, and overall best piece of equipment Ive ever owned, worth every penny.
