Overview

The MXL OverStream Pro bundle is centered around the 990, a large diaphragm condenser microphone with a wide frequency response that captures a remarkably clear sound. The OverStream Pro bundle comes with an MXL BCD stand with hinged arm and an SMP-1 integrated metal pop filter with shockmount. The MXL BCD stand with articulating hinged arm makes for easy mic placement and professional look and feel. (Clamp and swivel mount options available).

The included SMP-1 Integrated Metal Pop Filter/Shockmount combines two essential items for condenser microphones into one integrated unit to help eliminate plosives and low frequency rumbles. A Mic Mate Pro audio interface is also included, for high-quality XLR-to-USB adaption with professional-quality mic preamp and control for gain and headphone volume, and 48V phantom power.

"Some Good Parts and One Really Bad One!"

First of all the idea of a complete kit is great. The microphone's led light is a nice touch. The major downfall of this kit is the boom arm. I can't adjust the mic to stay straight up and down no matter how I try to adjust it. It leans to the side do to the weight of the microphone. The cable is also internal in the arm so if you had to buy another boom arm that actually works you need to buy another XLR cable as well. They also don't include any instructions so if you have never done this it will take a while. So do yourself a favor and buy the parts separately you will be much happier!
