Standard Series guitars also now feature bone or ebony bridge pins, depending on the model. Aesthetic updates include a long diamond neck transition, the nut cut on angle, and a sleeker vintage-style heel. These changes reflect feedback from Martin enthusiasts and valued partners, delivering a blend of vintage appointments and modern playability enhancements. Players will notice improved comfort and vintage tones, particularly… read more with the GE-inspired bracing and aesthetic refinements. Each model comes with a hardshell case.

I literally couldn’t be happier! Well, maybe a little bit.I cut the end of my finger off the day before it arrived so it’s on my strumming hand so I can still enjoy it partially for now. What luck! It arrived a day early and still had the beautiful nitro smell. I literally have not played it to it full, but I had to leave this review.. The projection is just outstanding. The tone is perfect, almost a little bright brighter than I suspected from mahogany. But once the strings were in a little, I’m sure that will mellow. Don’t hesitate. It took a lot of research before I pulled this trigger. So I did all the research for you?

This thing is set up almost perfect out of the box. All I had to do was tune it and it was ready to play. Intunation was perfect. The case is beautiful and plush. I have one complaint and that is specific on all New Martin’s higher end Martin’s. Is that they are now bolt on necks and that is not specified anywhere on Martin’s website or anybody’s website. It’s misleading, but it’s how they save money on warranties because it’s also glued. So when it does come time in 15 years or so to do a neck reset it’s a real pain. Loosen your strings if you’re not playing it and you should get a long time out of it before that happens.

I thought about installing a under saddle pick up, but I think I’m gonna leave it and just use a mic as it is plenty loud. But for recording… read more it’s gonna have to be a Mic. One more downside is that it doesn’t have a strap button for the neck. But that’s how they’ve been doing it for a long time. You just have to tie it to the head stock, which is kind of awkward for me.. but I will not put a hole in this thing.
