Recently ordered some new pickups for my sg and decided to give this wiring harness a go as well. Since I wanted to try a few different pickup sets I ordered the solderless version to hopefully make pickup swaps easier. Overall the wiring harness is great. It uses good parts and is soldered together very neatly. I did have some difficulty getting the wiring into the solderless housing. It turned out I was using a poor tool for the job at first. Eventually I found a paper clip and bent it to make a small poker that was able to fully depress the housing tab. Once I got the paper clip thing working the wiring went into the housing easy enough, however the physical size of the housing still made wrangling the wiring difficult. While a solderless harness is great in theory, soldering just isn’t that difficult and at least to me it seems the difficulties presented by the solderless solution, while different, are equal to if not greater than a traditional soldering method. I can absolutely recommend the harness, but if you’re at all comfortable with soldering, I would recommend picking up the regular version.
