Mojotone 72 Clone Wide Range Humbucker Pickup Set

Outfit your Tele or Starcaster with this Mojotone clone of the original 72 "wide range" humbucker, made in the vintage-correct size to fit wide range routes.

Get your tone back with our unparalleled version of the '72 Wide Range humbucker! Mojotone offers an authentic reproduction of the '72 Wide Range humbucker that beautifully captures the sweet dynamics and touch sensitivity of the original Wide Range Humbucker.

Most are not aware of the differences between the original Wide Range humbucker from the 70's and the modern versions made today. The main difference is the magnet structure. The original 70's Wide Range humbucker used actual threaded magnets whereas the reissue version uses a bar magnet across the bottom. The result of the current production Wide Range humbuckers is a much darker sounding humbucker with less chime, focus, and clarity compared to the originals.

Features:

- Custom threaded magnets for vintage dynamics and clarity.
- Underwound neck pickup for better clarity and balance between neck and bridge positions.
- 4 Conductor leads for coil tapping, series/parallel wiring options.
- Authentic vintage Wide Range tone with more focus and touch sensitivity just like the originals.
- Original vintage size that fits reissue and original wide range humbucker routes with no modification.

I don't know why Fender would put the lousiest pickups in their Telecaster Deluxe, but they made an otherwise nice guitar virtually useless by doing so. I purchased my Deluxe 7 or 8 years ago, and probably only played it about a half hour, total, in all that time. (I have other guitars) The pickups can only be described as garbage. Anyone even saying that they are "OK" needs their ears checked. So, after all this time, I decided to put in these Mojotone replacements. Not only do they sound a heck of a lot better than the originals, they are among the best pickups I've ever heard! These have a sweet clarity and a nice chime to them, unlike the dull, lifeless junk they replaced. If you have functioning ears, you will LOVE these pickups! Buy them!!!
