"Not what I had hoped for from Mapex"

The overall value coupled with features and build quality seem amazing when unboxing and even initially when playing. Unfortunately, this did not last long as the primary pedal develops a gritty audible sound that you can also feel when the beater gets toward the end of it's travel just before making contact with the drum head. This was my experience with two different pedals as I had returned the first one for the same reason. The slave pedal remained smooth and silent during use which is expected. My overall experience with zZounds during the return process was excellent both times I reached out with this issue and they went above and beyond to get me the replacement of my choosing this time around. DW 9002 was my go to this time around.
