I paid a visit to Sweetwater yesterday to finally do a sound comparison between a few different monitors, both 3 way and 2 way. The SRM215 was the best damn sounding unit they had on display. Better than QSC, JBL, EV, and Yahama. Now, this was using Bluetooth connection through my phone and a eq I have on a music player app. Throughout my years being a mobile DJ, I've had Altos Blacks, Mackie Thumps, QSC K12, and have been around various other speaker setups and I'm telling you to believe the hype! Now, Sweetwater did not have the matching sub in the series, but they had a 15' Thump sub that I paired it with and it was satisfying. I'm confident in saying a pair of these will hold the fort until one could purchase a sub to go with it. Place this speaker on your short list and go listen for yourself. And that's the day you will learn! Lastly, when I do go to make my purchase, it will be through zZounds! I just happen to live close to Sweetwater.
