KRK S10.4 Powered Studio Subwoofer (160 Watts)

Monitor all the way down to 30 Hz with this 160-watt 10" powered studio sub. The KRK S10.4 offers plenty of connectivity options and a 4-position crossover.

Building on KRK's legacy of sonic accuracy and performance, the S10.4 subwoofer delivers tight, accurate, and defined bass, while its highly efficient Class D power amplifiers dramatically increase transient response, control, and punch. A wealth of connectivity options means you can hook up to practically anything without adapter hassles, and a four-position crossover frequency selection switch makes it easy to adjust the subwoofer setting to optimally match your existing monitors.

Refinements in the latest generation of KRK subwoofers include modestly improved low frequency extension, improved porting for much better low frequency phase response and less port noise, a more durable inverted dust cap, optional removable grilles, redesigned cabinets with lower height profiles and less depth than their predecessors for improved placement flexibility, and a timeless design with a more professional aesthetic.

Pairing a KRK subwoofer with KRK or other studio monitors delivers an optimized listening and mixing experience with extended low end, while the exclusive bypass control feature provides full-range audio to your monitors at the click of an (optional) footswitch without having to move out of the monitoring sweet spot to turn off the subwoofer. This allows for instant comparisons with and without the subwoofer's contributions to the sound. KRK subwoofers don't just deliver precise bass and a rich feature set; they're the next dimension in subwoofer performance.

I already own the previous version of this line of subs, but the 12" model and boy does that thing bump. I was a little hesitant to buy the new version of KRK subs because of the design. At first glance I thought they looked like they'd be more at home in the trunk of car rather than in a home or studio. But after watching a few reviews on YouTube they seemed to really like them and they were saying that the new design actually allows for more output and better bass quality so I started to become interested. I noticed also that this new design allows for easier room/ studio placement. I decided to get the S10 because it seems like the best bang for the buck, only $90 more than the S8 and about half the price of the S12, Im so glad I did! I l already love this sub more than my current S12. Truth be told the S12 is too darn big. Even in my living room used as a home theater sub it seems to be a bit large. I figured getting the next step down would be perfect and I was right! My advice is unless you have a very large studio or room you really don't need the 12", the 10" is perfect for smaller/ medium size room. Really wishing I didn't buy that 12 lol cuz for the price of one 12 I could've gotten two 10"s, that's 320 watts vs 220 watts. If anyone is curious Im running this new S10 with a pair of KRK Classic 7's, perfect set up! Anywho, I love my new S10.4 and am trying to sell my previous model S12, it'll serve someone else better, someone who has a larger studio than mine. Oh I read more almost forgot! My order came two days earlier than advertised! I love zZounds!
