What's special about this item?

Feature: What it does:
Nordstrand Big Single pickups Crisp and clear bass tone
MR5S bridge 16.5mm string spacing, bold tone
Panga Panga fretboard Snappy response, mid-forward tone
Gotoh tuners Solid and dependable tuning stability

Ibanez proudly introduces the Premium SR bass, the SR1345B, featuring an Ash and Panga Panga body top. The combination creates an exotic and boutique feel on the SR's arched body. The Atlas-5 pc Panga Panga/Purpleheart neck provides tonal clarity and superior note attack with the Panga Panga fretboard. Its slim grip shape permits superior playability with the meticulous Premium fret edge treatment. The neck is constructed with KTS TITANIUM reinforcement rods, increasing its stability and adding sustain. The neck end adjustment allows you to adjust the neck easily. The MR5S bridge is the ultimate bridge for bass string isolation with a wide intonation range. Each bridge is independently and securely locked down to the body for maximum vibration transfer without interference. The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ, EQ bypass switch, and 3-way midfrequency switch allow for precise tonal control (250 Hz, 450 Hz, and 700 Hz). When the EQ bypass is activated, the treble-tone control knob acts as a passive tone control for the instrument's output. The single-coil Nordstrand "Big Single" pickups produce a full-bodied, powerful and aggressive tonal texture, while still retaining the clarity that's characteristic of single-coil pickups. Other features include the BLACK TUSQ XL nut and the Gotoh machine heads.

Best bass I've ever played. Bought it solely based on experience with Ibanez basses and the LOOK of the 1345. Never touched one until it arrived... I WAS NOT DISSAPOINTED !! I plays and sounds as great as it looks and even though I happened to get one with a MINOR issue, I'd buy it again. It's mu GO TO and after a year, it has a ton of miles on it...... It fits me and my style perfectly!!!!
Sound
Best Sounding(and playing) bass i've owned to date.
Ease of Use
The active side will let me warp to any tone I wish......
Quality
I had hope for a bit better craftsmanship from a bass in this price range. When I changed the strings about a month in ( I play the DR BK5-45's) I noticed the tuners were all loose. after inspecting the issue, ALL of the set screws on the back were stripped. After a call to the tech line, and being there is not a service center in FL. they were going to charge me shipping to have it fixed ... come on man? a $1400 bass that was 4weeks old. I fixed it myself with small dowel and glue.
Value
I would say yes, even though I got one that had a very minor issue due to poor craftsmanship/QC on the headstock, it's still the best bass(to me) I've ever played. it's just over a year old now and has a ton of miles on it.

The Wow Factor
11 ! Besides being a beautiful bass, it's light, sounds GREAT, stays in tune for ever even in temp changes. I'd buy it again!

Musical Background:

1979-present no real "formal training"

Musical Style:

I've played it all, 80's hair bands, country, blues. Nothing but Christian rock and church praise band since 2006
