Overview

The jumbo-sized VR1 F-40 Au Naturel acoustic guitar is the initial offering in the Guild Ventura Reserve series of ultrapremium instruments meticulously handcrafted in the USA*. VR guitars represent the pinnacle of Guild lutherie artistry and will be available in very limited runs. Only 20 VR1 F-40 Au Naturel guitars were produced, and each comes with a HumiCase Ventura Reserve humidified hardshell case and a hand-signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

The VR1 F-40 Au Naturel is built from the finest tonewoods: the sides and back are aged 5A flame maple, the top is 5A Adirondack spruce, and the mahogany neck with Indian rosewood fingerboard includes a stylish walnut center strip. Combined with the jumbo body size, this blend of woods produces a room-filling yet highly nuanced and beautifully balanced sound. A Natural gloss nitro finish highlights the gorgeous grain and figuring of the woods.

Further distinguishing this extraordinary guitar are its elegant trim and other fine appointments. These include flame maple binding on the body, fingerboard, and headstock; an Indian rosewood headstock overlay with mother-of-pearl Guild Peak logo and G shield inlays; a flame maple truss rod cover; an Artisan Guitar Creations ThinWood rosewood pickguard; an Indian rosewood bridge with Waverly snakewood bridge pins; and Waverly tuners with snakewood buttons.
