Gibson's solidbody guitar of the 60's, the SG, broke through traditional concepts of solidbody electrics and became an instant classic. The SG body style has remained in production since its first appearance in 1961.

I am keeping this guitar forever.
Sound
I have only owned this guitar for a few days, But man all I can say is WOW, This beauty is a nothing shy of a work of art, you can sit and stare at it forever, and when you take it out of the case it feels as lite as a feather. It is the finest instrument that I own, and after buying this, I refuse to ever waste my money on cheap guitars again. you simply do not meed much else. Well Done Gibson

This guitar has everything that I need in a guitar, I am sure that some folks may want more or different features, But the Standard really sounds great right out of the case.
