We’re still on our honeymoon, but I’m checking her out with the magnifying glass. It came from Mississippi i think and I am in Mendocino, California so Coast to Coast I was expecting some sort of problems and luckily I was wrong. The book and flame top almost matches in the middle perfectlyIt is stunning. It would appear that I got one of the better cases very solid but no baby picture. Bummer. And I thought it had an extra truss rod cover, but there isn’t . Besides that I had to completely go through and redo the intunation And flip a few saddles around there seems to be no more than five high Fretz, but not bad enough to cause buzz.I’ll have those fixed by morning and leveled I can’t speak for every guitar or every YouTube video, but don’t be scared. Everything bad that was said about the newer Gibson‘s was not the case with this Gibson. Now I can go knowing that even though my custom is on the bucket list I can do without this is just as good.

Sound
I like the 61 neck, especially but there’s a wide range a possibilities with just a turn of an knob or a flick of the switch. The volume and sustain that present before you even plug it in is amazing and unstable Gibson.I do not see myself modifying anything besides the strap locks and that’s unheard of if you know me.

Features
It would have been nice to have an ebony fingerboard with some mother of pearl trapezoid inlay instead of the acrylic because read more mother pearl is not that costly the inlet process is, but I knew what it had beforehand, but if I could wish for something, that’s what it would be a little Ebony and mother of pearl . Oh, and my baby picture that I was looking forward to would have been cool.

Ease of Use
As far as the sound and versatility, it’s endless I’ve only had it for one day but with the Marshal half stack and the invader distortion pedal, they threw in turn it up to 11 for Randy Rhodes or George Jones, your nail it.

Quality
It’s very well built as this is the first brand new Gibson I’ve owned that wasn’t from a pawnshop or Craigslist. I’ve been repairing guitars for 15 years or so there’s nothing that can happen to this that can’t be fixed, except possibly a fire but with extreme caution, my grandkids kids should be able to enjoy this. But I will be taking it with me lol

Musical Background:
Self taught at around eight years old Playing 38 years.

Musical Style:
Eclectic as you could possibly get. Main influences James Taylor, Randy Rhodes, Jim Croce All the studio musicians with Steely D
