Fishman V100 Violin and Viola Pickup

Mount this lightweight piezo pickup in the wing slot of your violin or viola's bridge, and get plugged in with the included 10-foot 1/8" to 1/4" cable.

This piezo-ceramic pickup mounts in the wing slot of the violin bridge with Fishman's patented Floating Mounting System. Lightweight to minimize muting, it includes a mini jack which mounts to the tailpiece. A 10 ft. 1/8 in. to 1/4 in. cable is included. An impedance-matching preamp is recommended, but not required.

Easy installation with no alteration!

Acoustic Instrument Pickups
The Fishman revolution got its start with acoustic instrument pickups. Larry Fishman's first product to market was the BP-100 acoustic bass pickup, which was created to solve his own personal amplification needs as a jazz bassist. Larry's drive to make himself heard while retaining an incredible tone carries over in Fishman products for the violin family, banjo, mandolin, harp/piano and more.

"bad sound..."

Overall: 3 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I've been owninig it for years but now I am looking for an electric violin.
The sound is quite bad, but it is not Fishman's fault. It's because a piezzo in bridge will always sound scratchy. I have to equalize a lot which of course distorses the sound that comes to other effects.
Be prepared for feedbacks that occur when you put this kind of pick up on acoustic violin.
Ease of Use
It is quite easy to insert it in the bridge but you'll have to probably make the gap of the bridge bigger. You'll also make a node from cable on the shoulder support so that the jack never fall out.
It is quite good, only there is a plastic one-way "tighter" that is difficult to release but since you will be doing the job of setting up the bridge it sure won't mind to you:-)
