Overview
Here's a chance to own a highly collectible guitar. Hand-selected at the invitation-only Fender Custom Shop event at 2018 NAMM, this instrument represents one of a very limited number ever made with this set of features. Perfect for players in search of superb tonal versatility, lightweight and vintage worn-in feel, this Custom Shop guitar is a study in sonic contrast and balance, with built-in mojo and style to spare. Includes an engraved "Limited Edition" neck plate, Certificate of Authenticity and deluxe hardshell case.
The 2018 Custom Limited Edition Roasted 1960 Strat Relic is finished in Aged Vintage White nitrocellulose lacquer. The 2-piece select alder body has received a Relic treatment that shows natural wear and tear of years of use, nicks, scratches, worn finish, rusty hardware and aged plastic parts. The roasted maple neck makes the guitar more resonant while adding a delicious dark note to its aesthetic. It has a '60s Oval C shape, 12" radius fingerboard and 21 6100 jumbo frets that assure effortless playability and deep bends. Simmered in a secret Custom Shop sauce, the trio of Ancho Poblano pickups are individually calibrated from neck to bridge. Uniquely overwound by hand for a wide range of high-output tones, from blistering-hot output to sizzling vintage warmth with plenty of tonal flexibility.
