Maple neck Bright tone, full sustain and strength
Vintage-style single-coil Tele bridge pickup Authentic Telecaster twang tone

For players who want the style and sound of Fender's golden era, they created the Vintera '70s Telecaster Custom. Equipped with the coveted features that defined the decade - including period-accurate neck profile and playing feel, along with re-voiced pickups - this guitar has all of the articulation and punch that made the Telecaster a legend.

Fender recreated the pickups to sound more like the '70s originals. By combining the vintage-style single-coil bridge pickup with a fat-sounding Wide Range humbucking neck pickup Fender added some beef to the traditional Tele bite. The "Slim C"-shaped neck has a 7.25"-radius fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets for classic feel. A vintage-style Tele bridge with three chrome barrel saddles gives this Telecaster its characteristic twang, while "F"-stamped tuning machines offer period-correct aesthetics, classic feel and rock-solid tuning stability. Other features include three-bolt neck plate, chrome hardware and vintage-style strap buttons. Includes deluxe gig bag.

This guitar is a tonal shapeshifter. The neck pickup is surprisingly bright sounding, and has a great balance of mid and bass. The bridge pickup is aided so much by the heftier body, and has a surprisingly dark sound that isn't too bright and twangy. The middle position sound REALLY good! This guitar is just so well balanced, and with independent tone/vol features, you can dial in very specific tones to your liking: or you could even turn one pickup off completely and get that RATM killswitch-style tremolo!Like I said above, the body is a bit heavier than any Tele I've played: it's like a Les Paul but lighter and with brighter tone. The neck is super comfortable to play on, and isn't too flimsy or thin. The layout of the guitar in general has the features a Les Paul would have, but with a more comfortable body and neck to play on. Also the bridge and tuners are nice and vintage style, but aren't cheap feeling or anything like that. My only complaint would be the price, but even then it's totally worth every penny, it just seems like it could be even $100 cheaper (that's not knocking on the quality though, this guitar is truly great).Overall if you're having trouble deciding between an LP and a Tele, this is your best bet!
