What's special about this item?

Feature: What it does:
Alder body Light weight with a wide tonal range
Maple neck Bright tone, full sustain and strength
Pau Ferro fretboard Delivers strong midrange presence and punch
6-saddle Tele bridge Precise control of each string height & intonation

Perfect for pummeling musical assaults, the Player Telecaster HH is pure Fender, through and through. The feel, the style and, most importantly, the sound -- they're all there, waiting for you to make them whisper or scream for your music. Flexible enough to handle almost anything you can create and durable enough to survive any gig, this workhorse is a trusty sidekick for your musical vision.

Respecting our heritage while maintaining our innovative spirit, the pair of Player Series humbucking pickups are fat-sounding, yet articulate -- it's authentic Fender tone with a modern edge. The "Modern C"-shaped maple neck's comfortable contours and smooth finish are ideal for almost any playing style. By adding a 22nd medium jumbo fret to the contemporary 9.5"-radius fingerboard we've made it easier to express yourself musically. To enhance the traditional twang and bite of a Telecaster, we added bent-steel saddles to the string-through-body bridge for precise intonation and to help your sound cut through the mix, sustaining until the sun burns out. Other features include master volume and tone controls, a 3-way pickup switch with barrel tip, 3-ply pickguard, synthetic bone nut, dual-wing string tree, sealed tuning machines and four-bolt "F"-stamped neck plate that marks this instrument as the real deal -- as Fender as it gets.

When you need a guitar that will take anything you can throw at it, stand up, dust itself off and ask for more, reach for the Player Telecaster HH.

I’ve got the Player Tele HH in Sea Foam Green. I really think the Player series is a vast improvement over the old Standard Strats and Teles. The price may have increased substantially from the Standards, but I honestly feel that the upgrades are worth it. I know some people really don’t like the Alnico 2 humbuckers in this guitar, calling them “muddy” or “too dark”, and it’s possible that I just found an exceptional guitar, but I disagree with those people wholeheartedly. I had initially planned on swapping them out when I got the guitar, but I liked the pickups immediately and I like them more and more as I continue to play this one. There are also complaints that you lose volume and power when you use the coil split. I guess I was just under the assumption that most people would understand that a single coil will usually be less powerful than a humbucker. Kinda feels like complaining that your car slows down when you take your foot off the gas.The quality control on mine was immaculate. Absolutely no blemishes or anything to speak of. I got mine at a local music store, but I was the first one to unbox it and was surprised at how well it was set up from the factory. I had some of the Fender locking tuners that I was going to put on it, but I’ve honestly had zero tuning issues with this guitar so I don’t see any reason.I do, however, think that for a guitar with a price point of almost $900, Fender should at least include one of their cheap gig bags. I got a read more nice case for mine but not everyone has that option, and even most Squiers come with a cheap gig bag with the white Fender name on it. You figure they’d do the same for these.Altogether, incredibly happy with my purchase and has alleviated some fear I’ve had about spending the money on an American Tele.
