So while I'm not a beginner.... I am picking this up as apart of my whole post covid axe. I'll be honest I wasn't very optimistic about this one .... but aside from a small gripe I have with the frets being a little sharp in places .... it's a hidden gem that most I feel will over look. The stock pickups are good .... not the best ... but definitely do the job .... after the first tune up it has stayed in tune.... for 200 bucks your not going to find a better deal.... for a shreader on a budget this is the guitar for me
Sound
Very "run of the mill" esp ltd ..... pairs fine with high gain and clean.... I am considering changing the pickups... but out of the box this guitar screams just fine
Features
The frets have some sharp edges in 1 or 2 spots ..... it was an easy fix at my local guitar shop and to be honest with you could have looked past it.
Ease of Use
I have purchased guitars that where well over 5 times the price ..... and would take this one over alot of them
