The ESP LTD 400 Series is designed with the professional performing and recording musician in mind, but is available at a price that even casual players can afford. With the M-403HT, you get the hardtail superguitar that you always wanted, with an HSS pickup configuration that includes two Seymour Duncan STK-S4 stacked single coils in the neck and middle position, and a screaming Custom-5 in the bridge. You can select and combine them with a 5-way selector switch.

One of the most striking aspects of the M-403HT is its Natural Satin-finished flamed maple top, which caps a mahogany body. The extra thin flat-shaped three-piece maple neck is also satin-finished for smooth playing feel, and its bolt-on construction at 25.5" scale is great for serious shredders. The M-403HT also offers high-class touches you don't expect in its price range, like complete binding on the body, neck, and headstock, and Grover tuners.

Wow! ESP has done it again! This guitar is absolutely amazing! The solid mahagony body and flame maple top are gorgeous with a smooth satin finish. The 3 piece bolt on maple neck is super thin and fast and my favorite neck of all my guitars. The 24 extra jumbo frets with offset abalone inlays on a rosewood fretboard make shredding super easy. The Seymour Duncan pickups sound great and the Grover tuners keep it in tune very well. This guitar is hard to put down, it has a wide variety of tones with the five way toggle switch and the 2 single coil and humbucking pickups make this thing an essential tool for everything from recording to gigging to in a garage or bedroom practicing. I highly recommend buying this guitar!
Sound
I highly recommend using this guitar for metal but it can be used for any genre. The single coil pickups sound best with clean settings but can lack some sustain during solos.
Features
I love the Grover tuners and Duncan pickups.
Ease of Use
Great I only had to raise the string height slightly to get rid of some string buzz and I was good to go.
Quality
This thing will last a lifetime it looks like it was very well built.
Value
This thing is a steal for the price!
Manufacturer Support
Always great service!
