Reviews are subjective... What feels great, sounds great, etc... To me, may be very different than anyone else.I live Les Paul's, I've tried a few from Tributes to ones made in the 50's etc. But... I have the feel and always want different pickups. Right out of the box, this was amazing. The tones you can get with a roll of the volume band or tone are fantastic. From light bluesy sounds, to heavy metal, to crunchy 80's hard rock.I'm blown away. I've played and owned much more expensive American guitars from Fender, Gibson, and PRs, including artist editions... And I honestly put this over them. It's light weight, but has amazing sustain. The neck is fantastic. The finish and look is perfect. I'm sure I'll be sanding the finish off the back of the neck, but aside from that... This is an amazing beast for hard rock, bluesy rock, and I'm sure metal, although I don't play much metal. This is one of those "I can't put it down" guitars. Now I just gotta get a case for this beauty. I looked so long for this kinda guitar, and never thought to try ESP LTD ... Glad I did.
