The heart of DiMarzio's drop-in prewired P Bass harness is the combined use of DiMarzio's custom 500K volume and 250K tone pots. Introduced over 45 years ago, DiMarzio used a 10-step rotary switch to create a taper that works with DiMarzio's high impedance pickups. It's NEITHER a linear nor audio taper pot -- it's DiMarzio's custom taper.

To further increase reliability, DiMarzio made the center shaft and threaded parts from solid machined brass instead of cheap castings. This assembly makes upgrading your bass wiring seamless and requires minimal soldering; also included are a Switchcraft output jack and heavy knurled metal knobs.

DiMarzio wiring harnesses are all hand assembled and tested in the USA using lead-free silver solder and the best sound-tested parts. DiMarzio also chose an Orange Drop .033 mf capacitor for a smooth high frequency roll off and use vintage-style 22-gauge push back cloth wire.

*Please note: these are direct replacements for the standard 3/8-inch (9.525mm) holes found on most Fender basses. Some enlargement may be required for non-standard or import-specific hole diameters.
