zZounds Gear Experts Say...
Reduces volume, not tone.
Overview
Protect your most valuable equipment
Musicians put guitars in cases, and processors in racks, but often they do not protect their most valuable piece of equipment -- their ears. Get maximum protection against noise and volume levels without changing the tone and balance of the music. Highs and lows are still there, they're just a lot quieter.
Flat response
Tuned acoustics take the "muffle" out of hearing protection. Instead of blocking high-frequency noise more than low-frequency noise, as do conventional hearing protection, the plugs' unique design blocks sound of all frequencies almost equally. Furthermore, attenuation is optimized to avoid overprotection of moderate exposures of less than 95 dBA. Speech and music remains crisp and natural-sounding. This performance makes the ER20 a great choice for musicians, engineers and others who have a particular need to clearly hear sounds while in rehearsal or at the gig.
Features
Patented acoustical tuning: consistent flat attenuation over a wide frequency range
Uniform attenuation for a natural sound
Moderate protection, NRR=12dB
Triple-flange Design: one-size-fits-all, increased comfort during extended wear
Advanced polymer: soft, durable and non-irratating
Vented design: reduces "blocked up" feeling
Washable: repeat usage, more economical

"A great product to protect your hearing without killing the music."
These earplugs are a great start. They are good to have, just in case. However, they are not a good alternative to proper musician's earplugs.
Sound
The level of attenuation isn't perfectly flat.
As with most earplugs in the market, the high tones are muffled a little more than the low tones.
Features
This product comes w/ a carrying case. However, the case did not have a keyring on it.
I wish these earplugs had a lower profile. When wearing, it looks like there are pegs sticking out of my ears.
Quality
Very high quality build.
They are the most comfortable earplugs I have ever owned.
Value
The price is cheap for how much it protects my ears!
Manufacturer Support
No experience with support.
The Wow Factor
Looks like pegs sticking out of my ears.
Musical Style:
Progressive and trance.
