Ideal for video camera-mount use, stereo field recording, interviews and home recording, Audio-Technica's versatile AT8022 stereo condenser offers a compact housing and the pristine sound quality of a live sound field. Its coincident capsule configuration produces an X/Y stereo image in a small housing. The microphone is supplied with two cables for use with either pro or consumer gear. It offers switchable low-frequency roll-off and the convenience of battery or phantom power. The microphone is fully RoHS-compliant - free from all substances specified in the EU directive on the reduction of hazardous substances (RoHS).

lots of options, good sound
Sound
It's a versatile microphone, that responds very well to record far sources. It's spacial resolution in excellent. The sound is very good, it makes more than acceptable professional recordings for live performances.
Features
It's versatility is excellent. You can use it with or without phantom power. It includes XLR cables and also a miniplug. You can easily plug it into a zoom h4n, or a minidisc, or a videocam. It doesn't matters what you're using it for, it will works great.
Ease of Use
Just plug it... very easy. Placing is easy too, very intuitive, and peak is high. Can manage high volumes very well.

for me it's a great value. It's like two good sounding conderser mics in one. To akg c1000 are much more expensive and sound difference is in my opinion matter os tastes.
