The LTD M-1007MS and M-1008MS are multi-scale guitars with the uncompromising playability and sonic power for which ESP is known worldwide. Multi-scale guitars make use of an angled fret arrangement to offer different scale lengths for the various strings of the guitar, allowing for optimal string tension, and has also been stated by many players to offer an ergonomic improvement for the fretting hand. Offering 7-string and 8-string arrangements respectively, the M-1007MS and M-1008MS have varying scale lengths of 27" - 25.5".

They are bolt-on designs with flamed maple tops over a lightweight mahogany back. Both models offer a five-piece neck made of maple and exotic purple heart wood, with a Macassar ebony fingerboard that includes offset abalone dot inlays. Top-tier components on the new M-1007MS and M-1008MS include a set of Seymour Duncan Nazgul and Sentient pickups that were custom-made for ESP with a special angled design and pole spacing optimized for the multi-scale design. A push-pull control on the tone knob allows for coil splitting, providing a wealth of flexible tones. Other components include a Hipshot multi-scale bridge and ESP locking tuners.

First off the only thing I wanted to point out that was upsetting was the saddles on my bridge came with tooling marks. Note sure how that made it past inspection. Though this is very minor imo.Feel is incredible, neck is the very slim and easy to play. Frets are installed perfectly, I don't even notice them when doing slides. The multiscale was very easy to get used to, took less than an hour. Finish on the neck feels smooth, but you can feel the groan of the wood very slightly if you touch it with your fingers.Looks great, not too flashy or obnoxious. Very understated guitar with a amazing looking flame top. Satin finish looks great, especially on the headstock. All hardware is black. Again the saddles came with tooling marks. I will be reaching out to support to get these replaced. Fretboard looks black as night. Overly just a lovely guitar.Sounds incredible period. These pickups are definitely more geared twords metal. Definitely on the high output side of passive pickups. Bridge pickup is a treble monster and provides a wide tone range. Chugs good. Neck pickup sounds soild, good for solos with overdrive. Clean sound really surprised me. I don't play much clean tbh, but I was seriously impressed with all the different sounds I could get with the push pull and switch. Is it worth it? Definitely go with this over some Schecter guitar. This is not your band practice guitar, this is an instrument for either a professional or serious player. If you have a smaller solid state amp, read more this guitar is probably not worth the price. But if you have a large tube amp or use an audio interface with a computer, buy it. I have 4 other guitars that are gathering dust now because I'm so in love with this guitar. Honestly it's got all the bells and whistles. I'm very happy.
