I was using the little iRig before I got this to upgrade, because the iRig was shorting out after about 2 years of heavy use. Well I should have just got the iRig HD because this thing literally doesn’t do anything. I’d be better off plugging straight into the Mac, there would be less noise. And if you aren’t using monitors, and running headphones from the computer, you only will be using one of the knobs. It’s big and hallow and clunky and the giant knob is just for looks. All it does is control the monitor volume. It feels like if it were dropped, something would break loose on the inside. If this thing was much smaller and not trying so hard to look cool or whatever the designer was thinking, I might give it one more star, but it has an audible crackle that can’t be EQed out. Would not recommend.

Wnd the input level goes from lowest green bar to in the red around 8 or 9. There’s no middle ground. Would not recommend.
