The Skyline 55-02 Custom model is the same great bass as the 55-02 Standard, but with a custom color and fingerboard option.

Seen on the world's largest stages, the 55-02 has an active punch that will drive your sound clearly through any mix, with 'best in class' tonality for a versatile and refined fit for any playing situation.

The LH3 pickups (wound in the Lakland shop in Chicago) and onboard preamp are the same components you'll find in the legendary USA Series 55-94. (powered by a single 9-volt battery that can be changed by removing a simple snap-on battery cover - no screws to lose!) Internal dip switches let you select the midrange boost/cut frequency.

The neck is the same 35" scale, profile and spec as the USA series 55-94 which has won over legions of professionals because of its great feel, string spacing and most importantly, a B string with tight punchy clarity that lives with the other 4 strings in perfect harmony.

This bass arrived in 2 days only because it was ordered the day before Easter. No damage at all and well packed. I was expecting a gig bag but it did not come with one. Tuned it, made a very small adjustment to the neck and it was perfect! Intonation, string height, neck relief was right on the money but I like the action a bit higher than most musicians. All controls were functional and the hardware is fantastic. This thing sounds so mean and nasty and I haven't even changed anything from center position. The frets are perfect and there is no buzz. The finish is perfect and looks great in the sun. All I need now are strap locks and a case and I will be in business. Thank you zZounds for a perfect transaction!
