Just got this awesome set today. Back like 20 years ago, I bought a Roland Stage set for like $2500 that had all rubber pads. It was a lot of fun. FF to today and this set is amazing. So much more for the dollar. I would put this set up against any $2000 mesh set I've seen / tried. Super high quality parts and pieces. Very easy to use.

I've been playing drums off and on sense I was twelve off and on. this is my sixth kit My first kit was the Dm6 and i thought it was great But then they came out with the Dm 8 with rubber heads but the cymbals was the best ever. that kit got stolen Firs mesh kit was the nitro it was great but just not for me stand to low then I went to Rolands great sounding drums till my module shorted out. Gave up playing then got crazy and bought the command mesh kit the kit is great for the price and had problems with the module Alesis sent me a new module and cable snake to fix the problem Alesis stands behind there products and kept in touch until the problem was solved. the problem was the first module. The second one worked great So every thing worked out. Alesis takes care and stands behind there kits. thank you.

One of the best moderately priced sets. Easy to fold up and save room when needed. Only thing I didnt like was the bass drum. When using it there was always an issue with the trigger contact. Like, i'd have to play a little harder with my feet or move the pedal around to see where it would be able to be most effective.

Undeniable value for this offering from Alesis. They've thought through this design nicely. If you live somewhere where you're unable to play your acoustic kit, you won't be sorry.

"Just got it and playing it through my monitors"

Ok, this is indeed an e-drum set. It looks and sounds like electronic drums but we all know that nothing sounds better than a well tuned fine acoustic set. I demoed a 7k Roland set and well, it sounded better than this Alesis kit (at 600 bucks). It should sound better for 7k. Although, it doesn't sound better than a 7k acoustic set. The mesh heads are small, the cymbals are small but, the sound over my monitors is big. Granted I do have 10 in monitors with a 12 in sub. This is a GREAT kit at its price point. Alesis has really put together a great set at this range. They seem to use the highest quality parts they could use and still make money at this price. Why point all this out? I see a lot of people on the internet talk bad about this kit. Most it seems expect 4k quality when only spending under a grand. There doesn't seem be any latency in the triggers and even the hi-hat pedal works great. Oh and the bell part of the ride cymbal sounds like it should. The benefit to the cymbals and heads being small is that you will learn to tighten up your muscle memory. You won't regret picking this up if you are reasonable in your expectations.

I have owned a Roland TD9 with upgraded mesh heads before and mesh heads are the way to go which makes this set nice. The cymbals are very cheap looking and are not the best but for the price of the kit it is acceptable. It plays well and the sound is very good. In my opinion I would not go any cheaper when it comes to Alesis drums if you are somewhat serious about playing. Very nice looking set for the price.

I bought this not long ago. Was looking at the higher end edrums. And for the price and what you get. I'd put this up against higher end models and this kit is just as good as the others without the cost. This is a great kit for the price you can't beat it. I would recommend this kit to anyone looking to save money and get an amazing kit.

Two months into owning this kit the snare goes out and I have been waiting for zZounds and Alesis Customer service to respond back to me. It’s been two weeks and counting now and recording has come to a stop because of this. Would not recommend Alesis or zZounds at this point

I’m not a drummer, but I’ve been playing drums for years. My instruments are guitar and bass. This has me absolutely giddy to know I’ll have a drum kit that will give my music dimensions an acoustic kit can never do as I write, record and produce new material. Oh my God it’s almost sexual thinking about that in my residence. I’m pairing it with a JBL EON PA and an EV subwoofer. So giddyyyyy!
