"Gets better as you play it!"

I bought this as a backup to my Martin , the smaller body style attracted me and Yamaha makes good stuff. Its easy to play, I can actually bend the strings without straining my wrist. The neck is small in width, if you have big hands this may not be for you, but mine are average, it's fine for me.
Sound
Well, it sounds like a new guitar , that is, I can tell it will sound better as it ages. You'll want to replace the stock strings immediately , they make the guitar sound cheap. I put Martin XL Phosphor Bronze , improves the tone greatly, and much easier to play. Once I had the new strings on for a couple of weeks and broken in, the guitar sounds so much better. I was actually thinking of returning it at first, I;m glad I gave it a chance, it sounds better all the time.
Features
The onboard tuner and electronics work pretty good, havent used it live yet. It's a good price , but really , they should include a gig bag at least. Had to go buy one.
Ease of Use
very nice neck , close to an electric in feel. Cutaway design helps reach higher frets. The smaller body is not that much smaller , but it is smaller than a full size dreadnaught. Like I said, once I replaced the strings to a lighter guage, it became much easier to play and started sound better too.
Quality
Finish is nice , no flaws in the construction of the guitar that I can see. I assume it will hold up for live use.
Value
Very good guitar for the money.

The Wow Factor
Nice looks, I like the contrasting brown pickguard, it matches the fretboard. Smaller cutaway body style looks nice too.

Great instrument, fair price, great customer service. If it was destroyed or stolen, I'd definately purchase another.
Sound
Excellent sound. It's a full bodied sound with lots of volume. Tone is very nice with excellent bass response and clear treble notes. Excellent sustain.
Features
Solid Sitka Spruce top. Will only sound better as the top ages. The multi-band eq and shelving control allows for fine tuning the sound and virtually eliminates feedback.
Ease of Use
Played great right out of the box. Will get a pro setup done, but this guitar plays very well as is. Played it through several different amps, plugged direct into mixer, recorded with a high quality condenser mike. The guitar performed great in all situations.
Quality
Build quality is superb. No blemishes, rattles, or obvious flaws. Binding and inlay work is very nice. A very classy looking guitar.
Value
Shopped many, many guitars. Yamaha's rep counted a lot, and feedback from other players helped me make the choice. If there is a better all around value out there, I couldn't find it. Great instrument for the money.
Manufacturer Support
I rated support based on Yamaha's reputation alone. Haven't need it for this purchase.
The Wow Factor
My primary instrument is electric guitar. I needed a good sounding, attractive instrument to use for a few songs over the course of a gig and to use on acoustic only gigs. The Yamaha filled the need perfectly.

"Yamaha introduces a gem!!"

Sound
Superb effort by Yamaha. It's a great sounding, great playing acoustic that just happens to be plug-in friendly. The deep body adds huge tone and volume to the comfortably small body. Neck is a perfect fit for those who switch back and forth between electric and acoustic. Excellent action and the cutaway makes for easy lead work up the neck. I own it and could not be much happier. The tuner is average but is not an issue. Needs a dreadnaught depth case.
Features
Expected excellent quality from Yamaha and was not dissapointed.
Value
Hard to believe there's a better guitar available for a street price of 400.00.

"Superb Acoustic-Electric For The Money"

I would expect to use this for a very long time. It is one of three guitars I own. I would consider buying a "heirloom" guitar in the future but for now this does the job nicely.
Sound
I have a larger dreadnought so my primary purpose was to play this with an amplifier. It has been my experience that a smaller bodied guitar has less punch than a larger guitar. I would say it is barely noticable. This guitar is a very nice size and with the cutout it is a blast to play.
Features
The onboard preamplifier, equalizer and tuner are nice. The materials used in the guitar are pretty incredible when you consider its low cost.
Ease of Use
Very easy to play.
Quality
This guitar was flawless in Quality. I saw no defects.
Value
For a entry to moderate level acoustic-electric it would be hard to find another guitar as good as this one
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had any reason to contact them. I think Yamaha needs to work on their website.
The Wow Factor
Well, it isn't a racing looking electric. It looks quite nice.
