"The best acoustic i've played in every way"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
When i get this i can imagine it being a life long possession. They better make these in heaven because i don't want to just spend one lifetime with it!! I wouldn't stop buying guitars but i can't see getting a better acoustic.
Sound
I played this in a guitar shop crammed full of nice acoustics, and this was the creme de la creme. I don't normally like the sound of the bass strings on Yamahas, but i fell in love with this one. the action is the best i've ever felt on an acoustic and the neck is the perfect shape for my hands (i have very big hands by the way). It is great for strumming and fingerstyle. I spent about an hour in the shop playing it and checking it out.
Features
I can't remember what it was made of but it's got completely solid body (great tone) and I didn't try it with an amp but if the electronics are anything as good as the acoustics it would be great. It has everything essential for a guitar and it comes with a hardcase, so i'm happy
Quality
As i don't own the guitar (yet) i cant say too much, but the bracings are all smooth, everything i've seen on it is perfectly done, frets all good, the inlays are all really flush as well as nice to look at.
Value
This is the most expensive acoustic guitar i've actually played, but only by about fifty pounds, and it outperformed everything else
Manufacturer Support
Can't say much here as i don't own any Yamaha products.
The Wow Factor
Oh yeah i want this baby!! I like everything about it! Inlays, colour, sound, feel, shape, all beautiful.

Musical Style:

Bit o everything, mainly rock and blues and some worship

Yamaha CPX15SA Caribbean Acoustic-Electric Guitar Customer Review

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
This is a solid wood guitar.. solid spruce top with flamed sickamore back and sides. I have played alot of expensive guitars and this accoustically is up there with any taylor, maton really any accoustic I have tried. I have had it for 5 years and it is amazing. Actually I have hardly used it over the past year and to be completely honest I have not tuned it for a year. I pulled it out of the case today and had a play, it was still perfectly in tune... really nice smooth action and a fantastic full sound..
Features
I have used this guitar pluged in live and in the recording studio and the pick up is awsome. It has a standard pickup and a condenser mic in the body on a goose neck. You can mix between the both and get amazing sounds when hitting the body.. really really good pick ups in this.
Ease of Use
As an instrument it is easy to play with a small neck and easy low action, the pickup takes a bit of fiddeling as you can get som many different sounds with it.. so can be a bit tricky..
Quality
As for quality.. these guitars are hand made by the best luthriers in Japan, every one comes with a hand signed card and I have not seen a better finished quitar anywhere. I have a customshop fender and I can easily say that the japanese have a much higher level of quality then the americans do now.. unfortunate but true.
Value
This is not a cheap guitar as many would think being a yamaha, it is a top range instrument and is up there with the best, but saying that to get a taylor of the same quality and sound would cost quite a bit more... so the value is pretty good.
Manufacturer Support
never needed it... don't imagine I ever will, so reliable
