Feature:
love the loop function for my other effect pedals. wish it had a usb midi port to hook up to the computer.

Quality:
heavy duty. but I wish someone will make a gig bag or case that will fit this vox pedal.

Value:
for classic rock and country with a tube sound, the vox is worth every penny.

Desirability:
great live and in the studio...

Sound:
awesome tube sounds, sound great when you run direct into the soundboard. cant get the deep thick new metal sounds, the drop d setting is about the best new metal sound you will get.

Ease of Use:
dont have to spin all day just trying to get the levels set on each program.

Support:
the vox people can be reach in the usa and they speak good english.

Overall:
sounds great... but cant get the insaine sound from line 6 model but it is true analog.

Feature:
Nice set of effects, fairly easy to work with once you read the manual. I'm not a big effects guy, preferring to get my tone from my amp - this fits the bill and covers the basics (chorus, flange, wah, compression) and then some (decent leslie emulation, sub octave doubler, triggered filters/envelope following, pitch shifting).

Quality:
It seems to be made mostly out of metal - nice solid old school feel to it.

Value:
It is priced competitively with other effects boards - plus you get a decent tube pre-amp.

Desirability:
The styling is kind of retro and cool. Chrome knobs rather than plastic. Metal face. White LCD screen with amber back light is reminiscent of analog VU meters of old. It has a little tube pre-amp and has a bit of that lovely tube warmth. It sounds good right out of the box.

Sound:
I wanted a way to record electric guitar without needing to mic an amp. I tried the M-Audio BlackBox and sent it back - too thin and sterile. My main amp is a Mesa Boogie MK III and I love the tube tone. This is no Boogie, but it has some warmth in it and works well enough for recording and practice. Plugged into my Roland keyboard amp - which has absolutely no warmth or coloration - it at least sounded like an old Fender tube amp. I also tried the Podxt and like the VOX better as it sounds warmer. The effects are quite good, the amp models are passable, and the programmability is there.

Ease of Use:
Presets are mostly decent and generally musical - unlike the BlackBox where they were all designed to be weird and were not musical at all. I think I can do better doing my own tweaking and the UI is decent here.

Support:
Haven't needed it. The manual is quite good apart from their unwillingness to name the products they are emulating. Instead they give you hints and, if you've been at this long enough and know your gear, you can guess what they mean. I found that a little annoying.

Overall:
The next step for me would be a Mesa product to get the killer tube tone, but that will cost 4-5 times as much and I'll still be using this for the effects. So I feel it is really good value.

Worth the money compared to whats out there .

A lot of different things you can do and since I'm a novice who doesn't like to read it's a bit harder for me but a person who knows what they are doing it's probably easy.
