Feature:
Does not eliminate vocals on anything I listened to. Seems to make stereo signal mono and cut overall sound while leaving the reverb sound of vocal in place. Did not come with a power cord. Effect are binary, Changing keys results in a jagged sound due to the time stretch/reduction processing
Quality:
Inferior. CD's skip for no reason. The play button works intermittently and it is only after turning off the power button for a minute or so that it seems to reset. There is a buzzing in the earphones between tracks when it does play. Also the brand new CD I was using skips in the unit. More of a toy than a tool. Yes, the price is only $100 but I would rather pay twice as much and get something useful and built to last.
Value:
The value may be short term amusement, for some, I guess.
Desirability:
I want it not. I want it out of the house.
Sound:
Humms between songs. When the instrument/vocal kicks in so does hissing - probably due to built in gate to mask the noisy circuitry.
Support:
Unknown - have not called Tascam
Overall:
Not only not satisfied, not amused. If this was positioned as an entry level unit for 60 or 70 dollars and a higher grade unit at a higher price, I could see it, but the CD drive (at least on this unit) is likely to be useless in short order. Unit behavior is inconsisten and unpredictable.
