Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

for many years to come. at my age i doubt if i'll be replacing it
Sound
just a casual/sit at home player. owned a les/paul gibson when i was a teenager about 40+ years ago. am retired now and just wanted something to practice with. went to a music store with the idea of picking up a cheap used guitar and amp and ended up buying a new sqire stratocaster standard guitar and a frontman 15G fender amp. really pleased with purchase and am now teaching myself and my daughter how to play again.
Features
3 pickups, wammy bar, and just a comfortable feel to it
Quality
have found no problems as of yet
Value
i certainly think so
Manufacturer Support

The Wow Factor

"Parents' Special: Great looks, Great Sound, Great value."

Sound
For an entry level guitar this one will do the trick. It looks and feels almost like the real thing at a price that will not break you. I started with this guitar and have since bought a Fender Strat.I did have to do some "slight" bridgework to get the action as I like it. All in all good deal.

"Incredible sound, amazing value, buy this now!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Sound
Nails the SRV neck p/u. Great with neck/middle or middle/bridge. Bridge is very bright almost Tele like. That is great for me.
Features
Everything a $1000 Strat has including alder body and a fantastic neck that has a better profile than the American ones
Quality
Made in China, not Indonesia and it is much better than a standard Squire. Everything works flawlessly. The body has a nice heft and the laminated body looks beautifully matched. (Most all Stats are more than one piece of wood...been that way since 1954)
Value
Unbelievable for this price. It's better than the MIM Strats and many American ones.

Semi-pro

classic rock and blues

Squier Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar (Rosewood) Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
My other guitars have to gone to wayside in the wake of this purchase. The only time I pull out my other guitars is when transcribing (I keep one guitar in Eb) or when recording for textures. Otherwise this is the guitar.
Sound
A little thin considering I'm used to humbuckers, a little noisy on single P/U settings. That's to be expected from single coil though. This thing jams through some heavy distortion as well as my other guitars and is the only one with a very distinct tone. Probably why I love it so much.
Features
This guitar top to bottom is solid and looks incredibly sweet for such an affordable price.
Quality
There was not a single loose part, nick, scratch, dent. Hell, I still have the plastic on the pick guard.
Value
This is easily one of the best guitar purchases I have ever made after a decade of Fenderphobia.
The Wow Factor
The end of my Fenderphobia began with the incredible silverburst finish. Pictures simply do not do justice to this guitar. After a half an hour of playing I had to have it.
