The Stiletto is an amazing neck-thru bass with a fantastic quilted Maple top, Mahogany body, and gold hardware. More than just a pretty face, it's got the tone to back up that pro look. Schecter loads the Stiletto Elite with EMG Hz pickups and active EQ. With active EQ, you have way more tone control and can more accurately create your tone. The 4-string Stiletto bass also features a 34 in.-scale Maple neck, a Rosewood fingerboard, and jumbo frets. Learn More...

9 out of 10Feature:
There is no pickup selector switch which takes some getting used to, but the tonal variations with the knobs are so wide, that once you dial it in, you want to leave it right where it is. The pots are smooth as silk. It has 24 useable, no buzzing frets..It was set up right from the factory, and plays like a dream. Super thin neck, nice gold hardware. S-tek individual bridge is cool, you don't get the other strings vibration to deaden or interfere with your playing.
Quality:
Quality is A plus! Beautiful Black Cherry finish, (Picture doesn't come close to doing it justice). I've played Schecter's before, their quality has always been there. The design of the bass is top-notch, it's just the right weight, it has the sculpted scoop back, and is balanced well. It was set up magnificently by the factory..
Value:
Nothing like it visually, playability-wise, sound is as good as it gets(EMG's)..Beautiful finish and wormanship throughout..Worth twice the price and then some!
Desirability:
Like I said before, the picture doesn't do it justice, it forms to your body as you play it, completely balanced, and when you hear it through an amp, you will be hooked, I guarantee it!
Sound:
I've been a musician for over 30 years , and this bass is the best I've ever played for any price, bar none! I used to work at a music store in Chicago, Ill. and had access to all different basses, played them all, and The Stilletto Elite 4 smokes 'em all! It's super quiet when you aren't playing, and the tonal variations are super wide. Being an active bass, you don't lose any tone when you lower the volume or change the tone. The EMG pickups are clear as a bell, Sustains for Days! Absolutely Love it!
Support:
I originally ordered my bass from another website(Sorry! it won't happen again, believe me!)and waited 2 months. Finally I emailed Schecter directly, and got a response from them in about 3 days..
Overall:
I plan on keeping it forever. I play a Parker Fly guitar, and that is the ultimate guitar on the planet. This ranks right up there as far as a bass. I really don't think I could improve upon it, for any price,it's that good. And for under a grand..
