"Schecter wouldn't jump in the game if it sucked!!"

I already gave a review, but now I've played many more hours on this amp...schecter's most basic one...the hellraiser stage 100...made in china...and it lives up to their name. I think they messed up in marketing by trying to introduce their amps at a price that competes with the already established names. However, they were not confused about the quality of their product. This amp does it. It competes with the big boys. I doubt they would have tried to jump straight into the game if they didn't already know that. You will find what sounds best for your style with your guitars with the selection knobs. My mistake was not buying the three channel Hellwin. I'll get that one once this one is paid off in six more months. Features are great, but only two channels for this amp, so I gave it 4 out of 5. Manufacturers support I haven't used, but gave it a 4 so as not to bring the overall score down on this puppy. It rocks. I did not spend foolishly at all. Oh yeah...they send a "how to" booklet with the amp...at the end they have recommended settings for certain styles. Use them as guides.

"High enough gain"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This is not a super high gain amp. It will do high gain, but as soon as you dial the gain back to high gain marshall levels, as opposed to high gain mesa levels, the EQ comes back into play, and it feels happier not straining. Technique is what makes this amp different from marshall and mesa. It sits somewhere, right there, between them. It feels like a hopped up fender. High gain fender, with sweet cleans and prominent mids and gain for days. The gain channel does metal bad ass. Mid focused, cutting through drums and bass. Anyway, that's my review. I didn't make any mistakes buying this. Did I mention that if I get bored, I can use 6l6 tubes instead of el34s? Also, the amp selection comes into play. I play fast and tight, and I use the 7 string setting for my 6 strings and the 8 string setting for my 7s.

"meets expectations"

No complaints here. The amp is pretty much just what you'd expect from looking at the spec list. Pretty rock and roll lead channel, it's not overly metal or super high gain. Its just enough like a jcm900's amount of gain. The lead channel is what really suprised me. Really warm and crisp. You can feel those EL34's. The noise control is nice. I like having level control in the effects loop. The only thing I haven't tried is the cab emulated direct output. Too busy rocking the real cab haha! Overall i say it's a pretty good.
