"Great little device - beware of problem with the switches"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Sound
For the best quality sound, you really can't beat a traditional wired setup. Even major bands that are really into the quality of the sound they produce live (Dream Theater) are going back to wired on stage. For the money, though, this unit sounds great. I purchased this along with wireless headphones so I can walk around the house (inside and outside) and rock on my guitar. Total freedom!
Features
It's great - just plug the transmitter into your guitar, plug in the base station, and off you go. It has a squeltch control, as well as other features.
Ease of Use
It's very easy to use.
Quality
It's fairly lightweight construction. There are little black plastic switches on the units. I rarely move the 15 P DAB switch as I usually leave it in the "on" position. It's right next to the "power" switch, so I moved it once on accident and it broke right off! Really surprised me. I can still flip the switch with a pen, but it makes me wonder when the power switch is going to break. Then I'll really be upset.
Value
For the money, quality, and convenience, this unit is a great buy. Just beware of the poor-quality switches. If you've ever worked on a plastic model (say, putting together a model airplane) and had to snap off the invidual parts from their holder - it's kind of like that.
Manufacturer Support
They provide phone number and e-mail for tech support. Waiting to hear back from them now. Hopefully they'll fix the switch at no charge to me, and hopefully this problem is not worthy of a recall. What good is fixing the product if it's only going to break again?

Great wireless sytem. BUY IT.

This wireless sytem has a great sound. It puts up a real comparison to the cord. You just cant tell the difference.

Quality doesnt get much better than this. Sounds exactly like a cord and doesnt break.
Value

Manufacturer Support

The Wow Factor

Samson Airline AP1B Bass Customer Review

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
I have played with this same wireless system for nearly 5 years so I can guarantee you my review holds water. Anyway, it has been my go-to for all those years and I've gotten so used to it that using a wire seems weird now. My experience with the sound is that you'll get slight static in times of silence but when you start playing that disappears. Be sure to get your sound levels right (esp. with an active bass) and be sure the unit's signal doesn't clip (it has an indicator) for the purest sound. For the most part you will get some pretty pure bass tone. Oh, and a tip - run a lithium AAA battery in the remote and it will run forever.
Features
You don't need many features on a wireless rig but this one has a squelch control and an output level on the inside of the remote. If you open the door where the 9V battery goes, you'll notice a small flathead screwdriver to adjust the output level in the remote and the squelch control on the receiver - convenient! I also like the clip indicator, the volume control on the receiver (esp. for active bass), the range, and the tininess of the remote. And this receiver will plug into a standard 12V or 9V converter so if you run a 1-spot for your pedals, this will run on the same plug.
Ease of Use
Easy to get on stage to get set up since you just plug it in. The initial setup is tricky with all the output levels everywhere, but easy to get moving once you're set up.
Quality
The stuff has held up to my abuse and luckily no interworkings of the remote and receiver have gotten static. Be sure the unit fits snug in the plug of your bass or you may get some clipping if it spins. Overall, build quality is pretty good. If they had more of the important stuff in metal parts (like switches and battery doors) the quality may be a bit higher. But unless you take a hammer to this thing, you won't be disappointed.
Value
Very high value for this price range - yeah, if you get something nearly 3 times as expensive it'll be better. For the price you're paying, you will have years of enjoyment out of this unit.
Manufacturer Support
I didn't have to contact the company so I can't shed light here. But it's a quality product so no complaints.
The Wow Factor
Being able to browse around and pump up the crowd is great. People go nuts when you join them in the crowd. Go wireless and you won't look back.

"cheap, dependable, simple, just not strong and sexy."

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I'm thinking about buying another one. I'm already ordering some metal to prepare for when it breaks off my gtr again.
Sound
no different than a cord, just nothing to trip over
Features
what the hell is the -15db pad for? who wants to play softer? i had to tape it over to keep from accidently turning it on, which cuts your gain. what a crock!
Ease of Use
an ameoba could figure it out.
Quality
i looked down during a gig and it was broke off, hanging by one skinny wire! It was still playing. I had to reinforce and redesign it to keep using it. I guess it's so small you cant make it strong. maybe they could cast the body from some non-ferrous metal or something to make it stronger.
Value
yeah..worth it for the price. but they should send a refurbish kit so you can repair the broke plastic. Man! I like to never figured out how to keep it together\after it snapped. (wrapped it with aluminum stripping and screwed it back together.)
Manufacturer Support
never called, figured I'd get another friggin' menu tree. I hate those damn things.
The Wow Factor
I use it to get a signal to may amp without a damn cord. No, I don't think it's sexy, and neither does any one else i know, what kinda question is that? Any of you out there think this little black box is sexy?

"One of a kind"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
As long as it keeps working for as it's been,I don't need another product.
Sound
it sounds great.Actually I can't tell if my bass any different with or without it.
Features
Tons of features.More than you can expect for the money.
Ease of Use
No rocket science at all.
Quality
The receiver is a 10,while I wish that the transmiter was solid as the the receiver. You really have to be carefull with mute and power switche.
Value
The price fantastic although when I purchased this unit I paid higher than what it's being sold for now.
Manufacturer Support
I never had to call the for anything and I've had this unit 2 years ago.I would not know.
The Wow Factor
Just the fact that you can integrate it in you stompbox line-up,is beyond my expectations.

"Awesome."

Again as long as you don't mess wiht it to much then it should be OK.
Sound
If you set it correctly it sounds ausome, however if you mess with it to much then you get some static depending on how badly you mess it up.
Features
I have no idea about any features that can be associated with it
Ease of Use
If you don't read the mannuel (i didn't) then it takes a second to work every thing out such as where does the battery go and what does that do. I read the mannuel after it was set up and working, it made sense. They mannuel writer people need to put some more explanation to what everything does, such as i know how to turn it on but there are a couple things that are still in the fog about what they do and how they work.
Quality
There is nothing loose on the item, however the part that you put in your bass is small and made of plastic so you do have to be a little bit careful of it, as long as you respect your bass and don't pull off and guitar-smashing moves on or off stage it should hold together (do keep in mind that every thing breaks after a while)
Value
It's just been recently that i have cared enough about what i use for my bass guitar, so i haven't been keen on the prices of stuff for my bass, but overall i think i got my money's worth of what i paid for
Manufacturer Support
Before I purchased the item i called the costemer service line, the person on the other end was easy to talk to and they helped me make sure I had exactly what i wanted.
The Wow Factor
I honestly don't really care about what it looks like as long as it's small which it is. You probaly can't see it if you are on stage.
