Quality:
Wished they used more metal than plastic. My advise- be careful with it ANYWHERE.
Value:
The price is worth all the basses it models after. Unless your name is John Paul Jones, Flea, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, etc....etc... Can you imagine the cost of buying all the basses it models after? And who's gonna lug all those basses on stage?
Desirability:
Great product.
Sound:
The basses it models after are top notch. The best feature is the EQ-ing of each seperate string. Very Powerful. I'm able to get that deep "Bass Dub" tone. I run the VB-99 thru a Radial Stereo Direct Box. The Synth's sound good also. But the modeling is the best feature. I was less impressed with the acoustic basses. But that's OK-I just overwrite some of those patches to create my own.
Ease of Use:
This not an easy product to navagate. It's very complex. You will be putting hours and hours of getting-to-know-how-to-use-this-product. This is the only drawback. But it can be done. In time.
Support:
Have dealt with support with connecting to a computer. Roland was helpful. That's the only call I've made.
Overall:
I'm very pleased with all the feature's of this product. It help's me alot with all my music project's.
You have to buy the pick-up to get the basses it models. And about the pick-up, I would recommend you have a pro repair guitar shop install it on your bass. And once it's there-it's there. It's not coming off.
It's an investment for sure. But well worth it.
