This sounds awesome right out of the box. I am running an ADA MP-2 pre-amp into the Velocity 300 and coming out of it into a Crate 4 x 12 with 8 ohm stereo capability. I needed a smaller footprint in my rack....check....1 rack space! I turned the reactance, as well as the definition, all the way down counter clockwise....the reactance is a tube amp simulator and the definition is a way to cut through the mix in live band situations. After cranking this amp just a bit, I seriously doubt that anyone would ever have trouble hearing me! I look at it this way...I might not need them but at least they are there if I do. I never ran a tube power amp in my rig so now I can simulate it if I want. Bottom line is this....it takes my tone and delivers pure power to my cabinet, in a small footprint with sonic control all well built with a great warranty. Rack is back!
