First things first, the other guys don't leave a "review" they are simply stating facts. I'll give you guys a review on this product. Great features that are included are 4 headphone channels with volume knobs on each one. You can send certain headphones to the "cue" bus which is the bus that has the "talk back" mic on. This way you can only communicate with the vocalist in the booth rather than everyone listening in. Another great feature in this little thing is having a bunch of monitors hooked up to it! Speaker A I use for my main listening monitors "KRK 103way" Speaker B I use for little monitors (stereo set up) Mackie MR5 MkII Speaker C for an additional sub woofer. You can also hook up another source of audio "stereo" in my case I have another work station for video shoots etc. and we hit Stereo 2 for the audio to be played from that station! This addition to our studio has been fantastic, and for the price there is no competition. If you run your own recording studio, this will make things so much easier on you while engineering. Being able to simply communicate with the vocalist in the booth without him/her moving out of it is great and the mic is built in the interface, you can of course hook up an external mic for this if you wish. In my case I set this piece of gear right in front of me while recording/mixing. Overall, this is a great piece of gear. I was using M Audio's Fast track c400 for controling monitors etc. and it was terrible, great for running microphones/guitars but playback was fuzzy and volume was weak. This Presonus Monitor Station blew that one away and sounds amazing. My advice, if you have a recording studio in your home or even in a professional office/outside location your clients will love this..That means you get happier customers because of a $300 piece of equipment! Definitely makes your job easier too! Buy it, you will love this thing! Be sure to read the manual if you don't know how to set it up with your studio setup!

I initially purchased a Mackie Big Knob unit for my studio. I wanted to have the ability to have talk back to my booth, and more flexibility in controlling monitor mixes. I was disappointed with it in terms of quality. I did not want to spend a ton on this, but wanted something better. Some research I did showed this, and the rack version of this, were great. The rack version was clearly overkill for my purposes. I went ahead with the desktop unit, and am very please. The sound quality is super, and it actually looks better in person than in the pictures.
