"Best of Modern Rat tones in one affordale package that allows you to dial in and use 2 seperate tones together or individually.."

Probably wont sell this...
Sound
Gives you several great variations of the RAT pedals to choose from (turbo, you dirty, clean, and vintage)...each one slightly different, but all retaining the general modern RAT tones. Very flexible, true bypass, run as two pedals or one pedal with 2 distortions. Contains all the best Rat sounds, sans the 85 reissue, which I have and is still my favorite (but is $40 more). But great buy for the price in my opinion. Makes the crunch Channel on my 100W Marshall DSL come alive with classic 80's metal. Sounds pretty decent in from on of Vox AC30s as well.
Features
Once again great options built in... 3 variations on each channel, tru bypass American made.
Ease of Use
Complaint is the input output jack are a little out of order if you choose to use it as a single pedal, and distortion mode switching is on the back which makes it kinda a pain, but then again I could see having the switches on the top of the pedal being a possible problem.
Quality
Had to return first one because 2nd distortion channel was stuck on one mode only, not 3. Could have been a one off mistake. Otherwise built like a tank.
Value
If you like Rat pedals, you'll definitly want this one for your collection..much cheaper than buying the different pedals individually.
Manufacturer Support
Havent dealt with, but read some forums where they do go out of they're way
The Wow Factor
Looks like a black built to last distortion box with "rat" on it. Classic to me.

"HANDS DOWN THE BEST!!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Sound
I haven't road tested a lot of distortion/overdrive/fuzz pedals (because most of them are junk IMHO), but have "tried" scores of them. This Deucetone Rat is the best sounding/built/designed(2pedals in one with 3 different Rats switchable into each pedal). They say it's like owning two RAT pedals, but with each side having 3 switchable RAT sounds built in, it's like having all 4 RAT pedals at your disposal with any two available at the same time (RAT 2, Dirty RAT, Turbo RAT, and the Clean RAT -exclusive to the Deucetone RAT). Simply Amazing. Any kind of distortion you want, from warm tube overdrive, 70's crunch, dirty grunge, etc.... The adjectives are endless and so are the sounds from this pedal
Features
Features? Well how about 2 pedals in one, with 3 switchable RAT sounds in each (5 in all). Run them independently, in stereo, or cascade them together for endless possibilities.
Ease of Use
This pedal is easy as pie to use right out of the box, but as others have warned, take your time with this beauty and explore the wealth of sounds it has to offer. there may be too many..... not necessarily a bad thing..... in this day of programmable everything, it sure is refreshing to turn a real nice pot (smooth and durable) and hear in real time what changes you are making. You can keep your line 6 PODs folks...
Quality
Built Like A Tank, there are even very nice durable quality jacks, pots, and stomp switches. It's all exceptional. Hand built & assembled in the good ol' USA
Value
Considering what they charge for some of the botique garbage out there, this is a steal......

"Great distortion."

I believe everybody have ,or had Rat pedal or at least had any contact with this unit in the past . With Boss DS-1 this is most popular distortion pedal on the market. There is nothing new I can say about it ,'cos everybody know how this pedal sounds and sounds great. Thousands of records and hundreds of famous artist used or using it, so I can say nothing new about Rat except one thing. Some time ago I learned , that greatness of pedal can't be measured just by how it sounds itself , but also how it interacting with other pedals like boosts ,noise gates and compressors. So Deuctone is simply double Rat pedal and by mixing Turbo rat ,Vintage Rat and Dirty Rat you have ability to get interesting sounds. Ok. This is nothing you can't do with regular units. ( You have to buy 6 of them than :) ) In my pedal chain I connected my old vintage DOD FX-10 BiFet preamp ( read boost) after Rat , and added Bogner Lyndhurst compressor before Rat. Walrus Fathom in the loop of Laney AOR 50 Series 2. OMG...My jaw dropped. With boost and compressor Deuctone sounds so powerful . Crushing low end. Phenomenal crispy highs for solos. Incredible. Not all distortions pedals sounds like Deucetone. Very responsive distortion and volume pots. Actually Pro Co could change EQ pot which called "filter" to regular EQ with bass, highs and mids but probably Rat would loose it character and specific sound. Anyway I fall in love immediately with Deuctone first for sound , second for how this pedal is build. Really high quality. Also Pro Co support is great. I asked for some detail like power supply for this pedal and draw current. They answered Immediately providing a lot of info.

"Good variety of tones"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars

I do expect to continue using my Deucetone. Whether i'll end up with another competing box .... ?? The Holy Grail of stompboxes says: "Thou shalt keep searching, my son ... seek not, want not."
Sound
Good variety of tones, from light crunch to flat-out ballsy overdriven distortion. You can maintain the character of your guitar while still enjoying some nice tones. Allows you to vary your picking style and change the sound. When i play my Strat, i can still maintain its great sounds, while adding any level of drive/distortion i want to the mix. You can get good tones from either channel individually, so you don't have to rely on just chaining them to arrive at good tones.
Features
Rotaries are basic but functional. The diode switches are a nice addition.... but, it'd be nice if they were located on the top of the box, with the dials, rather than at the back. It makes it more difficult to adjust and match them to the dials when you have to look behind the box to see what you've selected. A very nice feature - perhaps the hallmark of this device - is channel-chaining, whereby you can drive both channels at once, allowing you to blend dial & switch settings together. You've got a rich pallette of tones available, using either channel individually, or both at once. Also, Deucetone box can accommodate two player's inputs at once if you use the channels separately. One "bad" feature - a power adapter plug is not included in the purchase, AND the input is not standard, so you have to buy a non-std one if you want to run Deucetone via power source.
Ease of Use
Easy to set up the channel-chaining feature - just plug guitar cable into channel A input, then run cable from channel B output to Amp or another device. Diode switches on the back of the box is a NEGATIVE - other devices such as the Bonetone locate their switches on the front with the dials, which is better.
Quality
Made well .... solid, heavy. The dials "feel" good.
Value
I'm not sure about this .... i like the box, but there's a number of competing boxes, including ones that include real tubes in their circuitry, which is a nice feature. The deucetone has gotten good reviews overall, but the Bonetone Classic & Brit Rock boxes seem to be favored more, and have superior designs. (I compare to those, because the price is about equal. Other boxes are even more expensive, but seem better too.) So, who knows? We all end up "collecting" boxes i guess!
