for the money I rate these drums a 10.Factory quality control was very good on my Kit,finish and fit good,a real beauty.The reviewer who said these drums are crap is 1.out of his mind or just bashing the PDP Brand. Pay no mind that review it is a joke and anything less than an 8 for the X7 Kit is a bad joke. BTW, I have seen the same review from that same reviewer who said "you can't make love to a drum set" for other PDP reviews not just the X7 Kit,his stocker review of PDP drums. This person is bashing the entire product line of PDP. Come on Dude,we are not stupid and we read all the reviews on the web.

Value:
Short answer,Best deal going in this price range for what you get,I give them a 10.

Desirability:
"Sex Appeal" Appeal would be a better choice of words here.The finish is a real beauty. I own this Kit so this question does not apply.

Sound:
The poplar sounds to me to be similar to birch more so than maple,a dry sound.

Ease of Use:
with top of the line heads it's easy to get good sounds with these drums.Don't buy cheap heads.

Support:
They have been good so far. Easy to reach,friendly.

Overall:
I have to give the X7 Kit a 10 here and no one is more surprised than me.I own a DW Kit and another PDP LX Kit both of these Kits cost a-lot more than this X7 drum set.What you get for what you pay is really something. I'm a big Pacific fan now,I was always a DW fan and if you put Great heads top and bottom on this X7 Kit you will have something you can really play and be very happy with. Buy them you won't be sorry. PS: I don't work for DW or PDP but I do like their drums.

Feature:
Well it came with all the clamps and screws, but I don't know how to put on the rack tom. It needs instructions or something. But other than that it came with everything it said, and extra screws.

Quality:
The heads are very good. And the drums themselves are obviously kick ass.

Value:
YES!!!! BUY BUY BUY!

Desirability:
Where i got it, they had tons of colors to choose from.

Sound:
Tis product sounds soooooo good. It's crazy. You just have to tune it good. Which is very easy. It is obviously a pro kit. And it is amazing.

Ease of Use:
Its easy to put together, and to use. But for beginners, you might not know how to put the bass together and stuff.

Support:
I went to guitar center and they put on the rack tom. hahaha.

Overall:
this is the best drumset everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Feature:
There are only two things that could have made this kit better: First, die cast rims... but theat would jack up the price. Second: a virgin kick drum shell... but I know some drummers like the tome mount, so I can't really dock the score for that. The lugs are kind of big, but the style works for the kit.

Quality:
For a kit in this price range, it's absolutely top quality. If you're looking for a versatile kit with 5 toms (that's a lot!), you can't find one this nice for this price other than the X7.

Value:
Well worth the money.

Desirability:
I got the orange glitter finish and it outshines any kit I've ever owned.

Sound:
These drums sound great and have smooth, warm tones. With sizes from 8 to 16 inches, you get a full spectrum of tones for any type or style of drumming.

Ease of Use:
They're drums... so there's nothing to plug in... so how could it be any easier?

Support:
I can't comment on support... never needed any.

Overall:
I will have no need to replace this kit any time soon!

Feature:
every thing is great but the heads. I dont play super hard and I had 3 heads bust on me within the first month or two i got them. my guess it was because they were made in china.

Quality:
Its great, they look awesome and sound great. I have had mine for a little over a year now and the only problem I had was all of my skins started breaking but other than that, no problems.

Value:

I just think it looks way cooler than any drums I've seen. my drums are the silver to black sparkle fade and they look amazing under stage lights!

Sound:
It has a great deep,smooth but powerful tone, the bass drum is awesome!

Ease of Use:
piece of cake. I have my mounted toms and my cymbols on pdp's combo rack and i love it.

Support:
I have had no contact with them

Overall:
Great set, always love playing it!

great solid hardware and sick remo heads. it sounds great with my new ziljian cymbals.

beautiful beautiful beautiful. and solidly built. this is the strong point of the set. IT LOOKS AMAZING my friends dont know crap about drumming but they know its a good set just by the way it looks.

great value. very very very worth the cash. great drumset that looks amazing and sounds great all for just about 1,000. great steal.

this drum has sex apeal and lures you in. greatttt kit.

Sound:
great sounding drum and easy to tune. greatttttttt snare.

very easy to find the middle area that sounds so good.

havent had any problems. so no complaints here.

no complaints and nothing but sweet satisfaction. it really has exceeded my expectations.

Big lugs but still amazing. For those who want more variety when playing, this is the best kit they can get without going over 4000$

Great quality. For those bashing this kit, i think they forgot it's just 1000$. It IS a steal.

At first when i saw this kit, I didnt pay attention because i thought it would be around 3000$. I was wrong.

This is a pro drum kit made for beginners. Easy and fast build. If you just started out or you've been doing this for years, this kit wont bother you.

Great finish lighter then maple with heavy sound. Kick drum is a cannon!

You get a little more than you pay for I think.

I have the Orange sparkle and the lades say it's "yummie". Need i say more?

the sound great right off the shelf and got mine really cheap so that makes them sing to my ears

They're drums tune then play em the sound like maple to me andI don't care if they were made in China from poplar. Youcan't beat this deal.

I'm not super technical drum god. This works just fine for me. I play post rock psychedelic/ shogazer whatever. They work
