I needed a amp to power my sub.This amp had a good rating at 4 ohms bridged,and since I own only one SVS cs-plus 16/46.Power headroom is what I needed.This amp unlike some of the others is designed to run brigded at 4 ohms all day long!The bass with this amp is viscous and unforgiving.It seems to be a good match with my power hunger sub.So if your planning to run one passive sub rated at 4 ohms in your HT,This amp is worth looking at for performance, price and a 5 year warranty!

Quality:
bought this for a gig i had coming up. Practiced spinning for a few days straight with no problems. I turned on my tables and mixer , turn on the Mackie ...i hear a fizzle of some kind, then smell something electrical burned. This equipment was brand new and never left my home. I had to return it to Zzounds and it cost me a gig waiting for the replacement.

Value:
Could go for 250...i cant see why not.

Desirability:
Nothing sexy about this piece of equipment.

Sound:
it would sound better i suppose if i were spinning music at cd quality instead of mp3's

Ease of Use:
just hook up play

Support:
Zzzounds was great they sent me a replacement within a few days and apologized for my loss.

Overall:
this Mackie better last me the life of the warranty.
