This amp head is really of great value - lets face it a modeling amp with this kind of "MELT YOUR FRICKIN' FACE" extreme driving power is gonna cost you mega-bucks if you purchased something of equal wattage from one of the top 5 boutique manufacturers!!!!!!!!! I am running my amp head through a Marshall half stack and sometimes a full stack of 120 watt 4x12's.... I also run it through an Egnater 280 watt 4x12 16 ohm cabinet sometimes - at a - -- 15% --- volume setting either one of the half stack set - ups rattle the windows and doors all the way around my 3 story colonial house !!!!! lol :) And at a 40% volume setting running it through the full Marshall stack - I rattle all the neighbors windows and doors within a 100 yard radius from the source !!! HA , HA ,HA , HA My favorite time to do this is during the " HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION MEETINGS " that just happens to be held at my nearest neighbors house once a month . . . . . lol " Tell me I need their permission to build a freakin' deck will they.....!!!!!!!! It can only get louder -- next one of their meetings and I will try 75% of volume control with the full Marshall stack and the Egnater all at once - I will tape it and post it along with the review to let you all know how it sounded!!!!!! Your fellow musician and friend, Robert

Hope this is going to last a long time. It serves all my needs
Sound
Ive been looking for an amp like this for years. Excellent tones! I'm still exploring the many possibilities but easily captured "my" sound within a few minutes on the manual settings. With a bit of EQ tweeking the sound quality is good at any volume.

Happy with all features and recieved a FBV Express pedal with it. Great Wah sound
Ease of Use
Easy to use but manual could have been better
Quality
No problems as yet. Looks cool!
Value
Good quality at a good price

"Great head"

Fantastic guitar head, for the money it can't be beat. I bought this unit and the pedal board to replace the head on my Marshall half stack when I blew a channel out. I took 4 months to decide for sure this was the one I wanted and am not disappointed. The built in effects and versatility are unbeatable. It doesn't have the warmth of the Marshall, but it more than makes up for it in features.

"Printed membrane front panel switches?"

Owned mine for 2 years, and in the end, the digital circuitry and volume control began to fail. Opened it up, hoping to replace the volume control, and found it's a mini-potentiometer, not readily replaced on the board. Then the digital circuitry stopped holding a preset; it would change on it's own. Not build to service, but rather to replace. The final straw was the printed circuit-board membrane switches behind the front panel buttons. Great sounds (except limited chorus) when it worked, but ultimately not of the quality construction I'm looking for in an amp. When it died, I went with an Orange CR120H with a multi-effects pedal in the effects loop.

"BUY IT...JUST...BUY IT!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
buy it..if u want $300 worth the fx and then a badass amp thats quality alone is worth the price of the amp buy this. you wont be unsatisfied and if you are you prolly don't know what your doing and need to read the manual
Sound
Sound is Amazing especially for its price range. SOOOOO many sounds to choose from, Before I owned a Marshall mg100 and bought a line 6 POD pedal board.. that set up was decent...then I found this head that sounded better and had more sounds than the pedal board that cost $400 bucks so I took back the Marshall head and the pedal board and saved money and bought this..It sounds better way louder and the effects on it are so great i don't even need any more FX. Also it cancels noise way better than the MG 100.
Features
THIS AMP IS PILED WITH FEATURES.. Im am soo happy with all it came with i cant even believe they sell it with all the goodies it comes with. 150 watts 2X75 250 different artist and song presets! it even has a short looper...so u can record a riff and dub over it or thrash a solo to it its awesome. built in tuner comes in handy.has so many options u can customize your own sound.
Ease of Use
very simple and easy to use.
Quality
its very nice looking head, built well seems it can handle a drop or 2 :)
Value
omg for the value buy it! if you are looking for a head in the 1-400 range u cannot go wrong its totally better than any other.. Ive tested all the way up to the 600-700 dollar ones i still loved this one best and I'm very picky about features and sound quality..if it sucks I cant tolerate it at ALL.
Manufacturer Support
no problems
The Wow Factor
Its gorgeous very well built and good looking head no need to cover this face up.

"Line 6. Buy it or suck."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
My ONLY complaint is it didn't come with a bare bones footswitch. The cheap one costs $34 and Line 6 would've aced this had they just given it up. But aside from that, this amp is the best solid state head you can buy.
Sound
Take any solid state amp in this price range and on the market anywhere and then laugh at it. The Line 6 Spider 150 "might" have competitors in the overdrive market, but when it comes to the list of features this amp has, nothing matches up. The versitility is unmatched.
Features
It's a Line 6 which means you get every amp emulator out there, a host of top quality effects, a direct POD recording out, 150 Watts (2x75) of volume, USB footswitch capabilities, and it comes with more user presets from your favorite artists than you can shake a stick at.
Ease of Use
For a small LED display, this is a one knob "press and save" set up. Dial in your preset, twistt the knobo to refine it, and save. Easy. And it takes only minutes to create user presets. Can't ask for anything more.
Quality
Have you owned a Line 6? No? The only time you'd need to replace this is if you wanted the next new thing to come out. Durable as all get out.
Value
$400 for this amp is a steal. Sure it's solid state but the amount of goodies it comes with is really the big appeal. Any kid or pro who needs a good live amp or recording device is doing themselves a diservice by not buying this.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to use it yet.
The Wow Factor
Want it? Got it.
