This is sooooo worth the expense. I have had mine since August, 2000, and I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of its possibilities.
You can program effect tweaks via midi! That's right, hook your guitar preamp up to your sequencer and program some filter sweeps that effect your guitar in real time!
It has a tuner that is dead on. Tap delays and onboard EQ are great! The cabinet simulations are superb and the I/O's are so well thought out that you can rest assured you can get a great mix in the studio as well as live.
I received the optional floorboard pedal for X-mas and it is not necessary, but it does add a cool level of accessibility.
I love it so much I am sure i will get the Bass POD PRO with footcontroller, too.

The crunch sounds are great, but all the rest of the effects in this unit are the weakest I've ever heard. I wish I would of returned it when I could of. The genex series blows this thing away for half the price.
